Inclusion By Petition
Residents or commercial property owners who are not currently included in the Sugar Loaf Fire Protection District (SLFPD) who wish to be added to our service area for fire protection and medical response coverage must follow the Inclusion By Petition process in accordance with the Colorado Revised Statutes for special districts inclusion of territory procedure (§32-1-401). To initiate the process property owners must complete the following petition form then send the final signed & notarized form back to the SLFPD Board of Directors via traditional mail at the mailing address listed in the following document:

The inclusion of a property into the District is subject to the full effect of the inclusion order (§32-1-402) and is not officially complete until the entry of a certified court order that is recorded with Boulder County. After the date of its inclusion into the District the property shall be subject to all of the taxes and charges imposed by SLFPD.
