Calendar
Since we're using ResponseRack to track attendance at department trainings and activities and it has its own calendar incorporated into it, everyone is encouraged to add the RR calendar to their devices.
If you are hosting an activity or training (i.e. you'd be the one filling out the training/activity form) create an event in ResponseRack once the date and time is confirmed. You can then include a link to the event in RR when you send your email announcement so FFs can mark themselves as participating.
If you do something that counts as activity hours (e.g. monthly maintenance on a vehicle), create an event in RR after you've completed the activity and make sure you register yourself and any others as attending after creating it. Even if you create the event, you are not added by default
All FFs should add the ResponseRack calendar to whatever calendar they use. Directions are below. This calendar will update with events as they are scheduled.
To add the ResponseRack Calendar:
Log on to RR and click on "Calendar" at the top. If you're on a mobile device, you'll have to click the "pancake menu" on the top right to see the calendar link.
Click the blue "Subscribe to Calendar" button:
On that screen you will see platform-specific directions for adding the calendar to Google Calendar and iOS devices.
Note: Sadly (and stupidly), adding a calendar by URL in Google has to be done on a computer, not a mobile device. But once it's installed, you'll see it on all your devices:
